Kristin Hosfelt is an award-winning TV news anchor and reporter. She is currently the weekday evening anchor and Executive Producer at NBC5 in southern Oregon.
Pursuing a career in TV news has been a dream of hers since she first stepped foot in a news studio at 12-years-old. She has a true passion for storytelling and loves knowing each day on the job will be different than the day before. From emceeing area events, to judging charitable cook-offs, Kristin is committed to playing an active role in her community. For 5 years now, she's participated in an event called, Live to Dance with the Arc Stars, which raises money for a non-profit that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She's also taken part in an "Egg Ride" that benefits a summer camp for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities, and has a heart for the service and sacrifice of our armed forces. During her time in Maine, she participated in a dedication hike to honor Maine's fallen service members, and was an active member of the Maine Troop Greeters. Kristin is a California native and a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. Prior to her time in southern Oregon, Kristin worked as an evening anchor for WVII & WFVX in Bangor, Maine and worked behind the scenes at KCRA and NBC Bay Area. When she's not in the newsroom she enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling. She's a Packers Shareholder, a Jodi Picoult fanatic, and she's always looking for the best place to get Mexican food. |
